Instant Messaging!  "Live" of all things!

Git 'em Maan!
Ah ha!  Now don't go entering this post without an OPEN MIND!!  :o)

If like me, you've been fed up and freaked silly by MSN Messenger, think again.

I quit using MSN Messenger for ages....  and by ages, I'm talking in terms of a year and 8 months or so.

I've been maintaining my contact list through various other IM software, but have kept my distance from the official MSN Messenger itself for reasons I think we're all pretty pissed about.

Any way....  Since I formatted my system, I've been in a rather odd situation.  I stick to the official YIM and ICQ stuff, and well, never even thought a second time about my MSN contacts.  They sorta just faded out of my mind if you know what I mean.  :o)

NEhoo....  Today, I noticed that MSN Live had an interesting bit of fun.  Windows Messenger Live Beta.  I thought I'd check it out, just to see what they were up to.

Mind you, I hate hate HATE Microshaft, so you can understand the apprehension in my mind while I was going through the process.

But at the end, I was _not_ disappointed!

I seriously urge you all to try out the new Windows Messenger Live Beta.

Here are all the links you'll need:

You can check out all the Live products here.
Windows Live Messenger can be accessed directly here.

Once you're there, Just click on the Sign Up link to sign up for the beta.  No strings attached BTW.  :o)
Make sure you've "Signed in" using your Passport.
Or just sign in using your passport, and then click here and click on "I Agree".  That's all you need to do.  Terms and conditions for using the Beta.

Once you're through the formalities, if you're a FireFox user, you'll be looking for the download link.  Well, just click here to download it.  :o)

That's it!  You're done.  Check it out, it's not as bad as you'd expect it to be.  Especially coming from Microsoft and all.  :oP  lol!

When you're through investigating this new binary package, I suggest you download the Mess Patch by clicking here (direct download), or you can download it from mess.be origin here

Caution:  No screening on this post!

:-D

The pleasure was mine.

Yeah, people have gotten so freaked out about adding animated graphics to their messages.... Small flashing signs in mid conversation that go "Hee Hee!" and "Hi!" actually disrupt the flow of a conversation. :(

I wish they'd learn to be sopber from time to time....

No. Of course not! If you had, I wuld have told you to stop it.

I'm very specific with most people. The better we know each other, the more direct I'll be in my reactions. :)

sorri i'm going 2 b ignorant ji...but is there something *particularli* wrong with msn? or is it just something with this love-hate relationship of microshoft :)

Oh, it's a purely 'hate' relationship as far as I'm concerned. :) Microsofts monopoly strategy is too wrapped in red-tape and nasty odors. I usually prefer to keep my distance.

But I am not biased against any company when I view their software. And when I see something good, the judgment is on a purely intellectual basis. I think they're done a great job with the new messenger. :) I still have MS, but the software is definitely some good work!

I notice you deliberately misspelled 'microshaft' as 'microshoft'. :oP

I don't use Y! and MSN during the exam times. I'm glad that I'm done with exams forever! :-)

to make everything simple and easy, first log into hotmail, and then, _without_ signing out, click on this link.

If you're on IE, then the download will work without a glitch.

If you're on Firefox, click here to download and install the cool messenger. :o)

Hope you did okai with them exams 'n' stuff. :)

Well, the best is almost not nearly enough according to some....

I prefer to take it all as it comes. I never try too hard to score. :P

That's also probably one of the reasons why I'm such a loser. lol!

You can change the in-built features around through Mess-Patch.

Besides, you can download a huge number of free layouts from mess.be and use them on Messenger Live. :o)
