Go FireFox, Go!

Okai, so Here's a shameless plug-in for you FireFox users.

I took the idea from teemus, and decided to make a convenient little plug-in for Mozilla users.
It basically allows you to enter a username into the search box and once you select the YAvatar search module from the drop-down list, just hit 'enter' and it displays the Yahoo Avatar for that particular user.

Here's the link to teemus's Y! Avatars Browser.  It's way slick!

To check out my little creation, go to the mycroft search plug-ins page on Mozdev and search for "YAvatars".

Or go through all the Yahoo plug-ins that are available on Mycroft located here.  The 'YAvatars' plug-in is listed right at the bottom of the page.  :o)

Once you've installed it:

  • Type the 'username' of your yahoo buddy in the box.
  • Click the icon on the left of the box (here it says 'Jim').
  • A list of search engines will drop down....  Choose "Yahoo Avatars".
  • Hit the 'Enter' key on your keyboard and you'll be shown your friends Yahoo Avatar

Have fun!  I hope this was'nt just a big fat waste of time.  :o)  lol!
